That’s what rumors say Marvel will postpone the Avengers projects alongside other MCU titles. It’s a detail that some fans have suspected all along. But we still needed Marvel to acknowledge it. And we already have such confirmation from none other than Quantumania Writer Jeff Loveness, who will also write Kang Dynasty. What if Kang the Conqueror isn’t a villain?

Jeff Loveness talked about it at length Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in recent weeks, especially after the criticism the film has seen. ant man 3 is hardly the best Multiverse Saga Adventure.

“I just feel like we have such a great launch pad in Jonathan Majors,” Loveness said. “He’s so down on things. Every time I talk to him, he has a new insight. We try to develop new and appealing shapes [of Kang] hopefully as good as the ones we’ve seen. I’m trying to make it a revenge story and a kind of self-discovery story. I’m trying to make him more vulnerable than Thanos, more human than Thanos.

“I guess it’s him X-Men Fan in me, but Magneto may be my favorite storytelling villain,” the author continued. “He’s such a compelling villain because you just bleed for that guy and sympathize with him so much. So I think we really have a chance [with Kang] having a passionate, vulnerable villain on a crusade against himself, and the Avengers are in the way.”

“That’s kind of the funny thing about Kang in the comics,” said Loveness, which can be interpreted as one of the greats Kang Dynasty And Secret Wars Spoiler. “The Avengers are more of a thorn in his side. He’s basically trying to deal with his own shit, but it’s always like that Thor kind of gets in his way. He cares more about the bigger game. earlier in diversity Interview Loveness spoke about writing for the Kang character Quantumania. It was there that he first mentioned the clear conflict between The Conqueror and the other Kangs. One that isn’t obvious when we first meet Kang Quantumania.

“[Kang the Conqueror] is a non-linear person who has traveled so far through time and universes that they don’t know where they end and where they begin,” said Loveness. “He’s struggled through time for so long that his other versions don’t even know why. You almost meet him at the end. He’s more like Napoleon in exile.”
