Gov. Ron DeSantis “raised $8.2 million in his first 24 hours as a presidential candidate,” the governor said in his campaign on Thursday, an enormous sum that cements his position as Donald Trump’s leading Republican rival, the governor said New York Times reports.
Washington Post: “The number includes online donations as well as funds from around 100 donors who gathered at the Four Seasons in Miami as of Wednesday night – when DeSantis launched its campaign in a live Twitter discussion that quickly became muddled.”
