France charges military personnel over 27 migrant deaths in 2021 English Channel tragedy

French judges on Thursday issued preliminary charges against five French sea rescue workers as part of an investigation into the 2021 fatal sinking of a flimsy migrant ship in the English Channel, which killed 27 people.
