Peseiro coy on the $700,000 he is allegedly owed by NFF

Portuguese Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro is coy about the 10-month salary he is said to be owed by the Nigerian Football Federation.

The Portuguese is reportedly owed a 10-month salary by the NFF as he hasn’t received a dime since his appointment in May 2022.

Jose Peseiro’s salary has been reported as $700,000 per month, meaning he is owed a total of $700,000 in salary over 10 months.

But the Portuguese refused to confirm or deny the report that he was owed a 10-month salary.

“The situation around my salary is between me and the NFF. I can’t comment on that,” Peseiro said during the conference ahead of the Guinea-Bissau game.

“I can share the information with my wife because she is my wife and it is not a problem.

“It’s not just about the money. Now we just have to focus on Friday’s game against Guinea because we’re just one step away from qualifying.” He finished.

Jose Pesiero and the Super Eagles will play their AFCON 2023 qualifiers 3 and 4 against Guinea-Bissau in a doubleheader.

The first leg will be played at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday at 5pm, while the second leg will be played in Bissau on Monday.
